Joel Giles – Transitional Pastor
Rev. Joel Giles was born and raised in the Southeast in Alabama and Florida. He gave his life to Christ at age 12 at a summer camp started by his great-grand-parents. Joel is from a broken home, but the Lord used those challenges to help him be sensitive to others. He met his future wife when they were part of the same formative youth group experience. Together they have three grown children (two married) and two grandchild (so far). He enjoys tennis, guitar, reading, history, old westerns, action movies, travel, and biking with his wife.  Rev. David Hancock – Church Plant Pastor
Rev. David Hancock, along with his wife Alyse, felt the call to pursue church planting in 2011. They were approved as church planters in 2013 by Mission to North America (a church planting assessment center). Since then they have received training through Global Church Advancement and also through a variety of other organizations.

David and Alyse were both born and raised in St. Lucie County. Alyse has her Masters in Social Work and served as a children’s therapist in St. Lucie County until she committed to staying at home to take care of their children, especially David.


J. Iley Harrison – Director of Community and Discipleship

Joshua Iley Harrison was born and raised in Panama City, Florida. He attended the University of Florida, where he completed a bachelor’s degree in music education. He has taught elementary music appreciation class and middle and high school choir in two school districts. Most recently, he has held the position of music teacher at Lawnwood Elementary school. Iley accepted God’s call to student ministry where he served for 6 years.  He enjoys being active, cooking, mechanics, fishing, attempting to surf, and exploring the world with his wife, Rachel.


Alex Hagenbaumer – Director of Youth Ministry

Alex was born in Stuart, Florida and was raised in Port Saint Lucie. When he was 17 years old, Alex felt called by God to pursue a career in youth ministry. He then graduated high school from Lincoln Park Academy in 2013. After completely a year long youth internship in Stuart, he attended Moody Bible Institute for one year. After two semesters he was led by God back to Port Saint Lucie where he began working part-time at IRPC as a maintenance and grounds engineer. After much prayer and consideration Alex felt God’s call to serve as the youth director at IRPC. He enjoys playing sports and games of any kind, and working with his hands.


Alicia Wallman – Director of Children’s Ministries

Alicia was born in Miami, Florida and moved to Ft. Pierce at the age of five. She attended college in Gainesville, Florida and moved back to St. Lucie County to pursue a career at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, where she still works part-time as a Medical Technologist. Upon moving back she married David Wallman and they have three children, Lauren, Robyn and Sean. She has helped out in the Children’s Ministry for the last 10 years, but really accepted God’s call in 2007 to devote herself to Children’s Ministry. Lynn Craig – Office Administrator

Lynn was born in Martinsferry, Ohio but came to Fort Pierce when she was 6 months old. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Florida Atlantic University and served in various positions in the education system for many years. She and her husband David, have three children Alyse, Matthew and Abigail. She enjoys her family, time at the beach, movies, dinner and small groups at the church. Melanie Shrensel – Music Director

Melanie earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Florida Southern College and is an accomplished vocal performer and pianist. Before coming to IRPC, Melanie was Director of Music at First United Methodist Church for 11 years, as well as teaching music at Savannah Ridge Elementary. Melanie has also performed with the Treasure Coast Opera Society and now leads our choir and other groups in leading the congregation in worship.


Gwen McMullin – Facility Manager
Gwen was born in Philadelphia, Pa. and her family moved to Boca Raton when she was 8. Gwen moved to the Treasure Coast in 1985. In 2000, she received her AA degree from IRCC. She is grateful that God put her in the right place at the right time to begin working at IRPC in June of 2005. Gwen has three children Caitlin, Lee Thomas and Alex. Gwen is in charge of maintenance and repairs at the church as well as Grace Way Village. Gwen can be reached at 772-464-4263 ext 110.
