river kids of indian river presbyterian church
A dynamic, Interactive experience just for kids!
Every Sunday during our 10am worship service, elementary aged children are encouraged to start their Sunday experience singing with everyone in to Sanctuary. Right before the sermon, the church will cheer and clap as the kids are to transition to our River Kids rooms for the remainder of the service. There, our River Kids Team will guide them through music, prayer, a Bible lesson, small group discussion, and a craft exercise that solidifies the message for the week. Using the Gospel Project Curriculum, our River Kids are immersed in a chronological journey through the Bible so they can know and trust God's plan to rescue his people through his Son -- Jesus Christ.
How does check-in work?
Parents and caregivers will check-in their children in the main lobby of our church. First time guests will be invited to see the room where the children will meet so that they can pick their child up after worship. Children will only be released to the same guardian who signed them in.
Do you offer nursery childcare?
Yes! We welcome all ages to our River Kids program. Toddlers and infants are invited to gather in a separate space, right next door to the elementary-aged kids. There, our River Kids Team will engage each child in an age-appropriate manner. Playing with toddlers, rocking infants, etc.
Does my child have to go to River Kids?
Not at all! We welcome all ages to stay in the sanctuary with their caregivers. We long to be an intergenerational church so baby noises and toddler dance moves during worship are welcomed additions! We also offer a cry-room and coloring sheets for any caregivers who might find those tools helpful.
