Elder Leadership

Indian River Presbyterian Church is blessed to have volunteer leaders who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. The following are the current ruling elders and members of the Church board of directors.

Bill Timberman | Clerk of session

Bill joined IRPC in 1995 and subsequently served two terms on the Session. His tenure has included being a Stephen Ministry Leader, Nativity (Marketplace) Scene Director, Chairman of the Christian Education Committee, Sunday School (adult and youth) Teacher, Liturgist, and Communion Server.  He had participated on several mission trips to Mexico and IRPC Community Workdays benefitting the Church’s local ministry partners.  He served as a program staff associate for the PCUSA Presbytery of Tropical Florida for 15 years and as a volunteer for several organizations including St. Lucie County Habitat for Humanity.  

Ken Grieco | Elder class of 2023

Since joining IRPC in 1994, Ken has served as a member of the Session three times.  He has served as the Chair of the Fellowship Ministry Team, as a member of Mexico Mission Trip, Kairos prison ministry team, men’s groups, Sunday School leader, and youth trip chaperone.  Ken has had an active part in the annual Living Nativity and is currently the drummer for the IRPC Praise Band.  His wife Nancy have four adult children.

Eric Austin | Elder Class of 2024

Eric and his wife, Nadine became Covenant Partners at IRPC September of 2007.  They have two children, Daniel and Lillian. Eric is President of Harbor Insurance Agency.  Eric is a past Elder, having served  on the Administrative Committee.  He also helps with the Children’s Ministry, an usher/greeter at the Mosaic service,  participates every year in The Outdoor Living Nativity and is on the Contemporary Communion Ministry Team.

Betty Carling | Elder Class of 2024

Betty joined IRPC in November of 1981 and has been an active servant within the life of the church over the years. She has served as a Kids Ministry teacher, Living Nativity participant, small group facilitator, deacon, and a nursing home visitor.
